Why Barletta Pontoons Are the Best: A Closer Look at What Sets Them Apart

When it comes to luxury and performance on the water, Barletta pontoons emerge as the premier choice for boating enthusiasts. Combining exceptional craftsmanship, innovative features, and an unwavering commitment to quality, Barletta pontoons deliver an unparalleled boating experience.

Catering to a diverse range of needs and preferences, Barletta offers a lineup of models tailored to every level of boating expertise, from entry-level pontoons to luxury models for those seeking the pinnacle of on-water luxury. Understanding the distinctions between these tiers and what sets Barletta apart from its competitors can help you select the ideal pontoon for your lifestyle and budget.

Barletta considers their Aria and Cabrio lines as their entry-level models, while the Corsa, Lusso, Leggera, and Reserve models represent their luxury offerings. One distinguishing factor that sets Barletta apart is the standard options equipped on all their boats, irrespective of the model tier.

Convenience and Comfort: Barletta’s Bimini Options

All Barletta pontoons come standard with an electric bimini, providing a convenient solution compared to manual alternatives. This feature eliminates the hassle and frustration of manually raising and lowering the bimini, requiring only the removal of the boot and the push of a button. Additionally, Barletta offers various options to upgrade the bimini, including a second powered bimini or the Mediterranean Sail Shade, which extends to the front of the boat for enhanced sun protection. For a departure from the conventional pontoon bimini, Barletta offers an arch in the Lusso and Corsa series, reminiscent of the towers found on towboats.

Barletta VIP technology

V.I.P. stands for vibration isolation pads. During construction of the boat, Barletta installs pads anywhere that metal is touching metal. This drastically reduces the amount of vibration that the rider feels and hears. This then provides an extremely quiet and smooth ride.

Heavy-Duty Construction: Barletta's Toons

Reinforced Nose Cones

Barletta pontoons feature heavy-duty nose cones, reinforced internally to cut through the water efficiently. Crafted from thicker aluminum, these nose cones are welded and fitted with a solid keel. Additional metal reinforcements inside the nose cone ensure durability under pressure.

Sectioned of toons

Barletta pontoons are crafted with top-quality materials across all models, with tube sizes varying by trim. Lusso and Corsa models have 26-inch diameter tubes, while Cabrio models feature 25-inch tubes. The construction starts with metal sheets rolled into tubes and welded at the seam. To reinforce the tubes, multiple baffles are welded along their length, creating segmented chambers. This design ensures strength and safety: if a tube is punctured, water will only fill one chamber, not the entire tube, preventing the boat from sinking. Barletta's meticulous engineering provides durability and safety, providing peace of mind on the water.

After construction, each pontoon undergoes pressure testing, where air is used to strengthen the structure and check for seam integrity. This rigorous process ensures that Barletta pontoons are exceptionally strong and capable of handling rough waters with ease.

Innovative Performance: Barletta’s Patented Lifting Strakes

Barletta’s patented lifting strakes quickly get the boat on plane, letting it ride on top of the water instead of plowing through it. Inspired by racing boats, these dual-stage strakes are open at the front and back, allowing water to enter at rest and be displaced by air upon acceleration, aiding faster planing. Triple-toon models have strakes on both sides of the center tube and inside the outer tubes for optimal lift and stability during turns. Wave Tamers and splash fins reduce spray and prevent submarining in rough waters. Barletta’s entry-level models feature single lifting strakes, while luxury models come with dual lifting strakes.

Overall Fit and Finish

Barletta pontoons excel in overall fit and finish, surpassing competitors with their meticulous attention to detail and premium craftsmanship. Utilizing only the finest materials, from high-grade marine aluminum to luxurious upholstery fabrics, Barletta ensures durability and sophistication in every aspect of design. Their innovative layouts and thoughtful features not only enhance aesthetics but also improve functionality, offering customers a personalized boating experience tailored to their preferences. Each boat must pass rigorous quality control standards to ensure the quality is up to the Barletta standard.

The entry level models provide luxury at a more economical price point while the luxury trim models take attention to detail to the next level. They offer more customization and upgrades. From quilting details in the upholstery to a raised driver’s seat, dog friendly ladder, and designated anchor storage, nothing goes unnoticed.

Driving Capabilities

One of the differences you will notice if you drive the entry level models versus the luxury models is the throttle reactiveness. Part of this is due to the size of the engine on the boat and part due to the throttle control systems the boat is equipped with. The entry level Barletta’s, the Aria and Cabrio, drive just like any other pontoon would. However, when you drive the luxury line of Barletta’s you cannot help but notice the advantages of the digital throttle control systems. This allows for a more precise and immediate response when driving.

Industry Leading Warranty

Barletta offers a comprehensive, industry leading warranty package, providing peace of mind to customers investing in their pontoon boats. The Limited-Lifetime Structural & 10 Year Bow-to-Stern Warranty and world-class Customer Service team can help correct any issues you may run into.

Boat engines and power

When choosing an engine for your pontoon boat, there are so many factors to consider such as: size and capacity of your boat, what activates you intend to use your boat for, and what water conditions you typically boat in. When you move of the line of trim models you begin to be able to put larger engines on your boat. At Boat Town we typically outfit our Aria models with a 200  horsepower engine, Cabrio with 250 horsepower’s, and the Corsa and Lusso with 350 horsepower’s.

Barletta pontoons have earned their reputation as the best in the industry by combining exceptional build quality, innovative design, luxurious comfort, cutting-edge technology, and a commitment to customer satisfaction and environmental responsibility. Whether you're a seasoned boater or a newcomer to the world of pontoons, Barletta offers an unmatched experience that sets them apart from the competition. Investing in a Barletta pontoon means choosing the best for your on-water adventures.
